I have been practicing yoga and pilates for 15 years and began teaching in June 2016 after completing my 200 RYT yoga teacher training at Yogaview, Chicago Illinois.  Over the years I have found that yoga and pilates compliment each other in a way that strengthens, tones and elongates the body, feeling stronger, longer and leaner. I have studied mat pilates, ashtanga yoga and vinyasa flow, taking the best of what theses different styles have to offer and blending them to create my own unique style.

I teach with awareness and compassion for the student, yet encourage everyone to challenge themselves and work in a smart and strong way. My intention in teaching is to create a space for students of all levels to connect to their internal awareness and body's intelligence. 

​

Yoga and pilates have positively impacted every aspect of my life and grateful for the opportunity to serve others the benefits of both yoga and pilates.

​

In addition to teaching yoga and pilates, I hold a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism and Sociology from Illinois State University with a minor in paralegal studies.

MAT PILATES

This is a 60 minute low impact form of exercise performed on the mat using the deep muscles of the core known as the powerhouse while stregthening and stretching the muscles. The powerhouse is the center part of the body which when strengthened creates the foundation for all movement. This class emphasizes breath control and coordination while building increased strength, flexibility, balance, mental clarity and improves posture. Wheather you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, this mat workout will strengthen the core, tone the hips and thighs, creating a more streamlined shape. 

ASHTANGA.REMIX

This 75 minute practice follows a set sequence of poses to help build strength, flexibility and consistency in your practice. This class will deepen your mind body connection by holding each pose for a full 5 breaths. This class will also bring in the fluidity of vinyasa style poses along with the grounding Ashtanga practice. Prepare to sweat and move your body through standing and seating postures while adding a vinyasa twist.
